Constance Taylor is Kimberly's mother.  She's the president of Lemon Technology.  When Kimberly was about ten, Constance divorced Kimberly's father.  The reasons are complex, but her affair with the pool boy was relevant.

Ms. Taylor had limited contact with Kimberly over the years.  They've grown distant and Ms. Taylor tends to blame herself for the faults she sees in Kimberly. 

She hired Brisbane as her personal lackey and Kimberly as marketing/sales staff, because she believes in keeping your friends close, and your family closer.

Miz Taylor and her ex husband have a casual on again off again relationship, usually just whenever he is in town.
