Emily was an old friend of Kimberly's from high school. Emily actually went to college, unlike Kimberly. Emily naively thought that she could head off to school for four years then return to being friends with Kimberly as if it were the next day.   Kimberly saw things differently.  This did not deter Emily one bit and she still believes that her friendship with Kimberly has not changed. Emily also got Kimberly her first job, something Kimberly is only half thankful for.

Emily is talkative, oblivious, bossy, and dislikes Brisbane.  She's usually cheerful and smiling, whether the situation calls for it or not.

Emily currently works at a research firm and is no longer dating David.

Sinclair is interested in Emily (who for some reason is only interested in Richard)
